Hole In The Sky, Bamboo Musik and Noise In My Head join forces to draw London producer-DJ Mo Morris out from the exotic psychedelic dance underground. In 2007, Morris formed the trio A Mountain Of One giving the cosmic disco movement its desperately needed fresh perspective, transplanting it into a dream world of progressive rock, Americana and pastoral folk. After two celebrated long player trips, the collaborative ship sunk but allowed Morris and bass player Merrick Adams to captain a new direction with ZSOU. With their heavy voodoo percussion and analogue twists, the duo celebrate the ritual of dance and hypnotic states. Issuing a double A side on luxury culture hub LN-CC, the release shoots a technicolor ecstasy rush to the soul and saw DJ support from Dr Dunks, Tim Sweeney and Kenji Takimi. ZSOU have also have remixed the legendary Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music). As a DJ, Mo Morris unfolds his wild imagination with deep, brooding sets of future-past. A communal experience!

We’re very proud, pleased and excited to be the first label to introduce the powers of Bell Towers to the world. After a long hiatus, (Canyons had an album to finish) Hole in the Sky is back in full force.

Bell Towers is the production guise of Rohan Bell-Towers aka Roman Wafers, the visionary behind Melbourne’s renowned club utopia Bamboo Musik. Here the fringe dweller resurrects the raw energy of pioneering Chi house minimalists and the absurd wit of YMO, on two tracks of hard-edged dancefloor menace. With jacking drum machines and worming synths, Scavengers takes you on a ride to the post-apocalyptic underground where bin rummagers fight for survival, while the acidic flip Private Time Dub documents what Bell Towers does best with a moment’s solitude.

This Thursday the 16th of December we’re throwing a Black Christmas party with our good friends The Blackmail, at our good friend’s venue; the Goodgod Front Bar. Hole in the Sky DJ’s and Steele Bonus will be providing the music and there will be door giveaways, including Canyons DFA 12″s and limited edition Blackmail stuff. There’s also $1 punch for the first hour.
