Bell Towers is the production guise of Rohan Bell-Towers aka Roman Wafers, the visionary behind Melbourne’s renowned club utopia Bamboo Musik. Here the fringe dweller resurrects the raw energy of pioneering Chi house minimalists and the absurd wit of YMO, on two tracks of hard-edged dancefloor menace. With jacking drum machines and worming synths, Scavengers takes you on a ride to the post-apocalyptic underground where bin rummagers fight for survival, while the acidic flip Private Time Dub documents what Bell Towers does best with a moment’s solitude.

This Thursday the 16th of December we’re throwing a Black Christmas party with our good friends The Blackmail, at our good friend’s venue; the Goodgod Front Bar. Hole in the Sky DJ’s and Steele Bonus will be providing the music and there will be door giveaways, including Canyons DFA 12″s and limited edition Blackmail stuff. There’s also $1 punch for the first hour.

Saturday the 13th of November sees GOODGOD transformed into an all night dance party to celebrate the release of My Rescue, the first single taken from Canyons upcoming album. Come down and dance your pants off while Canyons take you on a musical voyage through space and time. Support from master selectors Simon Caldwell, Steele Bonus and Michael Cue it Up (Noise in My Head/RRR/Melbourne).

Keep the 27th of November free because Canyons and the Loin Brothers are putting it on! Sweat Easy! is the name of the party and it will be a positively good time all night! More details closer to the date…

The POND story echoes few of those before with Jay Watson, Paisley Adams and Joseph Orion starting the band under a Mulberry tree in Mulberia, Daglish; a quiet suburb in Perth, to perform at a party they had agreed to attend that evening. So they invented a band and an album that later became ‘Psychedelic Mango’.

POND write everything and anything that sticks in their goldfish like memories long enough to pen down. The rest is just up to chance. This means their live show is a swirling carousel of assorted sounds, lights, bubbles, friends, freaks and songs that transform every time they pass you by.

So far that carousel has allowed Pond to record four studio albums: Psychedelic Mango, Corridors of Blissterday, Shit! A Cosmic Jam! (under the name Space Lime Peacock), and now… FROND.

FROND is released around the planet on the 6th of September and will be available digitally, as a beautifully packaged CD and on vinyl.
